We connected really well with Josh from Kit-Markin Homes from day one.
We were after something bespoke and a bit different. In the past, we’d built with a higher-end housing company, but they used contract builders who were juggling half a dozen builds at once – we felt like just another number.
This time, we wanted a more personal building experience, tailored to what we actually wanted. Josh was heavily involved with the architect from the early stages, and we felt the suggestions he put forward were genuinely considered. He even helped save costs on things we didn’t really need. We also felt he had a solid understanding of the design process, and his input came from real experience – the points he raised were valid and helpful.
Throughout construction, our needs were met. With our previous build, communication was minimal – this time, Josh was an excellent project manager, and we never felt pressured. Because we made our finish and colour selections early, any delays were avoided – we didn’t want the hold-up to be on us!
We trusted the Kit-Markin team so much that we went overseas during the build, and when we returned, our home was basically ready for us to move into.
We were also thrilled to hear that our build won a Gold Award. Achieving one of these is no small feat, so we were incredibly happy for Josh and the Kit-Markin team. After all their hard work, it was a well-deserved and reassuring reward.

“We engaged Kit-Markin Construction to build our new home in 2020, We decided to go with them based on what we saw while viewing some of their finished builds. We felt Josh cared about our project which was a contrast to the other companies we had initially spoken to.
They worked closely with the designer in the planning stage, which was essential for us as we wanted the designer and builder to be closely connected so that there would be mammal hold-ups when the build took place.

“In 2019 Cambridge Medical Centre commenced a building project in which the house next door underwent a major renovation in order to expand the practice and add more consult rooms. As a medical facility it was really important that we worked with a building company that understood our need to continue operating throughout the build, maintain patient confidentiality at all times and have minimal disruption to services.
Kit Markin delivered on these requirements throughout the project. Their staff were professional and respectful at all times, they worked hard to keep the site tidy and safe and minimised noise disturbances as much as possible so that patients and staff weren’t negatively impacted. Josh and Stephan communicated clearly throughout the project so we knew what progress was being made, when different contractors should be expected on site and if any changes were required. They were particularly helpful in assisting us in navigating compliance requirements throughout the build so that when it came to the council sign off it was merely a formality.
We are really pleased with the finished building and would highly recommend Kit Markin Homes to any prospective client. They were a pleasure to work with.”
